U-17 WWCQ: Flamingos To Leave Nigeria On Thursday For Burkina Faso Clash [See Fixtures]

Nigeria’s U-17 side, Flamingos will depart the country for Bamako, Mali, on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying fixture against Burkina Faso.

The third round tie was moved from Ouagadougou to Bamako due to the inability of the Burkina Faso Football Federation to provide a suitable venue for the game.

The Nigerian girls have failed to appear in only one edition of the competition (Uruguay 2018) since it was launched in New Zealand in 2008.

The Flamingos, who finished third at the last edition in India will be hoping to maintain their good showing at the global stage but must first overcome a highly determined Burkina Faso side in the first leg.

The encounter will hold at the Stade 26 March, Bamako, on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the reverse fixture will hold at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, on Saturday, May 18.
