Lookman, Iwobi, Two Others Arrive Super Eagles Abu Dhabi Camp Ahead Of AFCON Preparation

Italy base Forward and Atalanta Striker, Ademola Lookman a long side England-based, Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina and Joe Aribo have arrived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on Tuesday for the kick-off of Nigeria’s a week long camping ahead of the 2023 AFCON.

Lookman who will be marking his first appearance for the Super Eagles on international competition, and formerly based in England, is among the eight debutants listed by coach Jose Peseiro.

Among with the England based trio, they are the first set of player to hit camp which opened yesterday (Tuesday).

Head coach, Jose Peseiro and his assistants had arrived earlier in Abu Dhabi as preparations are expected to begin earnestly on Today (Wednesday).

According to the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, the training camp will last until Tuesday January 9 with the 25 called up players expected to depart from their different bases on Tuesday.

Recall that, All four players dumped the three lions of England to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The AFCON will begin from January 13 to February 11 in Côte D’Ivoire.
