NPFL23: Fidelis Ilechukwu Rate Rangers International Fans Above Liverpool And Chelsea Supporters.

The head coach of Rangers International’s, Fidelis Ilechukwu yesterday praised the fans of the flying Antelopes, tagging them super Fans.

This comes after the club returned to their traditional ground, the Nnamdi Azikiwe Staduim, (The Cathedral) following a long absence playing their home games at the ground.

With their return, the seven time Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, Champions, defeated Shooting Stars of Ibadan 2-0 with the fans turning up in mass to support them.

Speaking after the game, coach Ilechukwu said, “The support here is massive, better than Chelsea, Liverpool or Manchester United”.

“This is the best supporters of the world, and if u have this kind of Fans, u should always do everything possible to get a good result”.

“We are very very happy because it’s our first game here, scoring two goals and keeping a clean sheet, it shows that the boys know what it means to play for Rangers”

On the playing surface he added, “Yes we are struggling a little with the filed and we want to get it right here on the new turf, and that is why we are training here always. With all due respect, this is better than what we had in Awka”.

“Thanks to the Governor of Enugu state, his excellency, Dr. Peter Mba for making it possible for we to play here, trust me, we will get better results here”.

The last time Enugu Rangers played a league game at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium was during the 2020/2021 season, with a 2-0 victory against Plateau United.

Meanwhile, Since the coming in of the new administration under the leadership of Governor Peter Mba, Rangers International’s have gotten a sense of branding especially with the appointment of Barrister Amobi Ezeaku as the club G.M/CEO.

Since Amobi’s arrival, despite striving for other sporting innovations for Rangers, he has had a push for the club to return to the Cathedral which has now come to fulfillment.
