NPFL23: Rangers Players Vows To Defend Club Innovations, Say’s Team Is Focused Ahead Of Niger Tornadoes Visit

Following the recent shirt sponsorship deal with Rangers International’s and Afrinvest worth fifty million naira (N50, 000, 000: 00) players of the Flying Antelopes has vowed to justify the effort made by the State Government and Club management to reposition the club.

Speaking to Chisporting.com.ng after the unveiling in Enugu, Rangers International’s Captian, Nwaodu Chukwudi said, the sponsorship deal means a lot to the team.

Calling on the “Never Say Die” supporters of the club to sustain their unwavering love for the team, chukwudi echoed that, wining games for the club, remains a priority for the players.

“The sponsorship deal with Afrinvest means alot to the team ,to the players it means we must work hard and do very well to win our game”.

“And to our supporters we want u all to keep faith with us and with your maximum support, this season will be successful”, he said

On the match day three game against Niger Tornadoes in Awka on Sunday, the club Captian said, the moral of the players are high as they aim for a positive result.

“The moral of the team is high with the new general manager and coach, with their innovations and support we are always ready to win, On Sunday is another encounter with Niger tornadoes, we are very positive about the game, yes Tornadoes is a very good side, but we are positive to win”, he Concluded.

Chinemerem Ugwueze

Speaking also, Chinemerem Ugwueze, the vice captain of Rangers, acknowledged that, it is a new era for the club.

According to prolific Midfielder, the Governor Peter Mba government has done alot to reposition the state owned club.

“Indeed a new “ERA” has come upon us and it’s very visible to the sight of everyone concerning our darling Rangers”.

“None of this could’ve been possible without the very help and support of the new government and the supporters of the club. I have every reason to believe that the jersey sponsorship will be a massive boost of energy and confidence for the entire team, we really appreciate the new CEO/GM (Amiobi Ezeaku) he has really done well.

On Niger Tornadoes game, Chinemerem said, “I can bodly tell you that the confidence of the team is on a top level the team is highly motivated. It has been a week of intensive workouts for the team, and i believe we are well prepared to get the three points against Tornadoes”.

Recall that, the General Manager of Rangers International’s, Amobi Ezeaku, had tagged the sponsorship deal “a milestone” for the club. He thanked Afrinvest and the state government for believing and investing in the club.

Rangers International’s second home game of the season comes up on Sunday at the Awka Township Stadium, Anambra state against Niger Tornadoes of Minna.

With just three points gotten from Doma United in the season opening match, the team occupy the seventh position in the Nigerian Premier Football League, NPFL table.
