U18 HANDBALL CHAMPIONSHIP: Nigeria To Battle Morocco In Semi-Finals After Big Win Against Tunisia

A revitalized Nigeria side on Tuesday, beat host Tunisia, 28-20 goals in their last group stage match of the ongoing 2023 African U18 Women’s Handball Nations Championship in Tunisia.

From the beginning of the game, the Nigeria team showed determination and more zeal to clinch the win despite the support from the home crowd.

Nigeria took their chance at goal with fewer turnovers to win the first half by 13 to 9 goals.

Upon resumption of the second half, Nigeria switched their style of play dominating and dictating the pace of the games for the host. Rahima Bello found her mojo, dazzling the defenders of the North African team.

The coach Agboola Shittu tutored girls utilized every lost ball from their opponents and converted them into attacking; increasing the goal tally, as Nigeria sealed their second win, beating Tunisia 28 to 20 goals.

Rahima Bello was adjudged Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the game.

With two wins and 1 loss, Nigeria set up a quarterfinals encounter with Morocco today (Wenesday) by 4pm.
