US OPEN: Nick Kyrgios To Miss Tournament Due To Injury

Nick Kyrgios will miss the 2023 US Open, tournament organisers have confirmed.

The Australian has been forced to withdraw due to a wrist problem that also kept him out of Wimbledon in July, having finished runner-up to Novak Djokovic a year earlier.

Kyrgios’ wrist injury has also kept him out of tournaments in Washington, Atlanta and Toronto, and he was unable to recover in time for the US Open in New York

The 28-year–old will miss out on a fourth straight Grand Slam

Without having played since June at the Stuttgart Open, his only match in 2023, Kyrgios’ ranking has slipped to No. 92 in the world.
