FIFAWWC: England’s Lauren James Handed Two Match Ban For Stamping On Falcons Alozie

England will have to make do without Chelsea winger Lauren James for their next two matches at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

This comes after the 21-year-old Chelsea player saw her ban for stamping on Nigeria Michelle Alozie’s back, extended to two matches.

The dismissal came with an automatic one-game ban which Fifa has increased, meaning she will miss the semi-final if England get there.

England will play their first game without her on Saturday, when they take on Colombia in the quarter-final stages.
