FIFAWWC: Oshoala Net Brace As Super Falcons Trash Australian Club, Lions FC In World Cup Warm Up Game

Barcelona Femení forward, Asisat Oshoala scored twice as Nigeria’s Super Falcons defeated Australian club, Lions FC 8-1 in a pre-World Cup friendly game today (Saturday) in Gold Coast, Australia.

Others on the score sheet are, Ifeoma Onumonu, Toni Payne, Rasheedat Ajibade, Halimatu Ayinde, Uchenna Kanu and Gift Monday as the Super Falcons dominated the game from start to finish.

It was the Falcon’s first friendly game since arriving in Brisbane, Australia for camping ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Placed in Group B, the nine times WAFCON champions will now turn their attention ahead of their first game against Canada on Friday next week.

The 2023 FIFA women’s world cup kick start July 20th and runs till August 2Oth in Australia and New Zealand.
