Indonesia To host FIFA Under-17 World Cup

World Football Governing Body, FIFA, has today, Friday confirmed Indonesia would host the Under-17 World Cup.

Indonesia were awarded the November 10 to December 2 tournament after Peru were stripped of the rights having failed to fulfil infrastructure commitments.

The Council also appointed Indonesia as the host of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023, while Colombia will host the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2024.

It also announced the Dominican Republic as the host of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2024, and Uzbekistan as the host of the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024.

The time frame for the respective competitions will be confirmed in due course.

And the dates of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2023, which is due to take place in the United Arab Emirates, were moved from 16-26 November 2023 to 15–25 February 2024.

Senegal, Burkina Faso, Morocco and Mali are the four African countries that will fly their flags at the competition.
