Veteran James Milner Join Brighton On A Free Transfer From Liverpool.

James Milner will join Brighton on a one-year deal when his Liverpool contract expires on June 30.

The midfielder joins the Seagulls following a hugely successful eight seasons at the Reds where the 37-year-old won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, European Super Cup and Club World Cup

His deal will also have an option for a further 12 months.

Reacting to the signing, Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi said: “I’m very glad to welcome James to Brighton. He’s an excellent addition for us and I’m sure he will help to bring us to an even higher level.”

Miler who will also get the chance to play alongside ex-Liverpool team-mate Adam Lallana at the Amex Stadium next season, arrives with a depth of experience to his name as Roberto De Zerbi’s side.

Milner is currently third in the all-time Premier League appearance makers with 619, behind Gareth Barry (652) and Ryan Giggs (632).
