UWCL: Barcelona Wins 2023 Champions League With Incredible Comeback Against Wolfsburg

Barcelona Femení have won their second Women’s Champions League, after producing a stunning second-half comeback to beat Wolfsburg 3-2.

Fancied as one of the most thrilling Women’s Champions League final in history, the LigaF champions went 2-0 down in the first half.

The opening goal came from a Lucy Bronze mistake as the Blaugrana full-back gave the ball away and Ewa Pajor scored a fantastic goal from distance to give Wolfsburg the lead.

Close to halftime, a cross from Pajor found Alexandra Popp all alone at the far post, and the veteran German striker headed home.

unfortunately, the Germans good first-half work and team play, was undone in five minutes after the break, Patri Guijarro scoring twice in the 48, 50th minutes as Barcelona put themselves level.

Wolfsburg were clearly affected by the goals and could no longer protect their box with the same level of defensive efficiency as the first half, and the winning goal felt like a matter of time.

And with 20 minutes to go, the epic comeback was completed after some bad defending from Wolfsburg, Frida Rolfo fired home to secure another Champions League title for Barcelona.
