Former Enugu Rangers Team Manager, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku has hipped praises on the flying Antelopes after their hard fought victory against Pleateu United in the federations cup semifinals.

Played on Thursday in Ijebu-ode, Ogun state, a well taken penalty from striker Godwin Obaje in the 90+3 minutes was all the Enugu based side needed to book their place in the final against High flying Bendel Insurance.

According to Barr. Amobi who spoke Exclusively at Solid Sports, a sports Radio program of Solidfm Enugu, said, the victory kept him awake all night because he was happy for the team. He also congratulated the administrative secretary of Rangers, Ferdinand Emeka Ugwuarua, who he said has done well in managing the team.

Speaking Further, the tittle winning Team Manager said, while he was disappointed with Rangers league performance, he is no longer focusing on it, instead the Epic final clash between it (Rangers) and Bedel Insurance.

“In football players are as good as their last game, we won yesterday against plateau, plateau is not a small side, to beat them is a big deal” he said.

“And now, we have reignited old rivalry with bendel insurance, it will be a great game to watch, am very optimistic that rangers will also triumph, because i saw the highlights of the game (Pleateu United), the fight in the players eyes and the unity in the team”.

“I can’t wait for rangers to lift the trophy because they did that in 2018 and can still do it again in 2023, this is the rangers i was born to know and I am very happy that rangers made it to the finals,” Amobi continued.

On Rangers administrative issues where the club have been running without a team General manager, he said, “Nothing is as constant as change and life is like that, certain things take time to happen, and I believe that the government knows what to do”

“The current administrative secretary of rangers is really trying to lift the club and as well as carry the team along, the administration shouldn’t be discussed rather they should talk on how the club will win their opponent (bendel insurance), when they finally win, then they will be on the table to discuss and restrategize the administration, but for now bringing back the trophy should be their aim”.

Calling on the fans to keep their endless love for Rangers International, Amobi Congratulated the new governor, Barrister Peter Mbah.
