Haaland Named EPL Player Of The Season

Erling Haaland of Manchester City has bagged the prestigious Premier League Player of the Season award after a remarkable, goal-filled year.

This follows the Striker breaking multiple records in the league which also his goals helped the Citizens to a third consecutive league title.

Haaland rewarded for superb season,
The Norwegian forward broke several Premier League records in his debut season in the league, including scoring a record 36 goals in the campaign.

Haaland’s incredible season has seen him become the top scorer in a single Premier League season since the league was incorporated in 1992.

He also holds the record for the most goals in all competitions by a Premier League player with his 52 goals in all competitions only bettered in English football history by Everton legend Dixie Dean’s 63 goals in the 1927/28 season.

Haaland favourite for more awards, beat teammate Kevin De Bruyne and six other contenders to the award including Arsenal’s duo of Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, Tottenham’s Harry Kane, and Newcastle’s Kierran Trippier.

The record-breaking Norwegian became the third Manchester City player in a row to win the award, succeeding De Bruyne’s 2020/21 win and Ruben Dias’ 2021/22 award.
